Project Background
To assist the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage (DHLGH) in the delivery of its overall housing programme, ‘Project Barrow’ Social Housing Design & Build Contract (Project Barrow) will be procured and delivered by the NDFA as agent for and on behalf of Dublin City Council and Kildare County Council.
Project Barrow consists of approximately 317 housing/duplex/apartment units across 4 sites.
All sites within Project Barrow have full planning permission, fire and disability access certification and will be delivered by way of a design and build contract.
Project Summary
Two Social Housing Bundles (1 and 2) have been previously delivered on behalf of DHLGH through a PPP form of contract. The sites and housing units comprising Project Barrow will be delivered under an exchequer funded, traditionally procured design and build contract (utilising the public works contracts (Capital Works Management Framework (CWMF) form PW–CF2).
